Overview
We at IMED PUNE are enthusiasts working with an aim to strive towards promoting entrepreneurship, provide a platform to inspire and help the young aspiring students open the promising & exciting world of entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurship in India is yet to attain heights true to its potential. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell, IMED Pune wishes to inculcate and enrich the entrepreneurial environment in India by creating an easily accessible set of resources for the entrepreneurs. We also to wish to bring students, entrepreneurs, Mentors, experts from various fields, angel investors and venture capitalist on the same platform by facilitating startup events, entrepreneur fairs , competitions etc.
The objective of this cell is to develop spirit of Entrepreneurship among the students. Activities of this cell includes Creating Awareness Programmes, Mentoring Students, and Assisting in getting financial support for Startups.
Objectives of the ED Cell:
- To inculcate entrepreneurial skills among students
- To enhance entrepreneurial and managerial skills
- To organise seminars and workshops to nurture entrepreneurship
- To organise events /competitions
- To provide platform and support to students for the start ups
- To foster better linkages between the Parent Institution, Industries and R&D institutions in the region and other related organizations engaged in promoting Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) including NGOs and other Voluntary Organizations.
- To catalyze and promote development of S&T based Enterprises and promote employment opportunities.
- To respond effectively to the emerging challenges and opportunities both at national and international level relating to SMEs and Micro Enterprises.
Small-Unorganised businesses (such as Chaiwala, Two wheeler garage etc) in India today are increasing day by day, with increasing population. At the same time these self-employed people are also helping themselves by starting their own ventures and not burdening upon the employment market.
However, they do not have enough resources and skills to survive and grow big.
Hence, IMED has come out with a unique idea of helping these needy, small entrepreneurs to become more viable ventures by providing them necessary support, training and guidance through CWTED (Community Work Through Entrepreneurship Development).
Thus through ED cell IMED is thriving to create future Entrepreneurs who will create Dream jobs for the aspirants.
